Did you know that California is a global biodiversity hotspot, with over 30,000 species of insects and 8,000 species of plants? Join us to hear from Dr. Glen Holstein who will delve into the many dimensions of biodiversity in our state and will explore how our geography and climate have contributed to this great diversity. This talk is a favorite of students in Tuleyome’s Certified California Naturalist course – don’t miss it!
Dr. Holstein is a botanist, Tuleyome board member, and California biodiversity expert. He received his PhD in botany from UC Davis and retired from his position as Senior Scientist with Zentner Planning and Ecology, a local biological consulting company.
Please register to receive the Zoom link. The link will be sent out to all registrants on the day of the lecture. If you have any questions, please contact Geoff at gbenn@tuleyome.org.
