You can give to Tuleyome by donating stocks (and bonds). The transfer process is a simple one.
Many folks don’t really know it, but Tuleyome is a land trust.
So what does that mean? It means that Tuleyome, as a part of our mission as a nonprofit conservation organization, actively works to conserve ecologically and historically significant pieces of land and/or easements in the region. We do this by purchasing properties, undertaking and assisting in conservation easements, and stewarding the land. Sometimes, we hold onto properties indefinitely; at other times we hold them in trust until they can be turned over to other reserves or land trusts throughout the region.
LEAVE A LASTING LEGACY! DONATE LAND TO TULEYOME.
"Legacy giving” allows you to convey your values through a future gift to Tuleyome and thereby support your community and the projects and programs you care about. Just remember Tuleyome in your will or estate planning efforts.
Legacy gifts can come from anyone, not just the wealthy. Gifts large and small are important. They can stand as a meaningful representation of your environmental and conservationist ethic, and can help to strengthen Tuleyome’s impact on your local communities by supporting our projects and programs well into the future.
Donors who are 70 1/2 or older can set up a donation through their existing IRAs, 401(k)s and 403(b)s.
Donate to Tuleyome is by giving through payroll deductions and/or having your donations matched by your employer.
When you contribute cash, securities or other assets to a donor-advised fund at a public charity, you are generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction. Then those funds can be invested for tax-free growth and you can recommend grants to Tuleyome.
