Valley Vista Hike

The trail climbs approximately 1700 feet in 2 miles on the way to Rumsey Knob. This hike will be led by Dr. Geoff Benn. Dr. Benn earned a B.S. in crop sciences from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from UC Davis, where his research focused on understanding the mechanisms of how plants initiate rapid responses to damage. Geoff has taught courses in introductory biology at American River College and currently works at UC Davis as the coordinator for an introductory course on the diversity of life.

Please bring water, snacks and lunch and dress for the weather. Hiking boots or sturdy shoes are recommended due the terrain.
