Star Gazing at Cowboy Camp

A star gazing overnight will be held on the night of July 21 – 22 at Cowboy Camp (CA-16, one mile south of CA-20). For this event, Tuleyome is partnering with the Bureau of Land Management, Hispanic Access Foundation, and Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument. Dr. Dan Phillips will be on hand with his telescopes and the remote area will provide fantastic views of the moon, stars, planets, satellites and galaxies. This will be a great event for anyone interested in astronomy and inexperienced campers – including families looking to introduce young kids to sleeping in a tent.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! Volunteers are needed to help monitor the telescopes and answer basic astronomy questions from the participants. If you are interested in assisting with this event, please contact Nate Lillge at nlillge@tuleyome.org.
