North End Trail Work Day

The North End Trail, which follows the northwest shore of Lake Berryessa is nearly completed. Before it can officially be opened to the public, some finishing touches need to be done. The majority of the work will focus on a potential landslide area and clearing some overhanging branches. We will be working with MacLeods, mattock’s, saws, loppers, and possibly Pulaskis. There will be a lot of repetitive motion but the views are amazing.

Please meet at the North End Trail South Trailhead by 8 am. (Take Highway 128 to the Berryessa/Knoxville Road and turn right onto Berryessa/Knoxville Road.  Follow this road up along the north shore of Lake Berryessa.  After crossing Putah Creek, the SECOND bridge, look for the pull out on the lake side of the road. ) Dress for the weather, wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes, bring work gloves (if you have them), have plenty of water and snacks and bring a lunch.
