Lake Solano Hike – Family Friendly

Bring the kids to Lake Solano County Park, 10 minutes west of Winters, to enjoy a walk outside. This park is on the south side of Lake Solano and provides the opportunity to see many water fowl – geese, ducks – as well as some interesting wildflowers. If quiet enough (HA!) we may even see a screech owl! And peacocks! The park also has a playground for the little ones to enjoy after the hike. (Unfortunately it looks like the playground will still be closed. But there is still plenty of room for the kids to run around and enjoy.) Bring water, snacks, and dress for the weather. There is a picnec area to enjoy lunch, if you choose. There is a $6 day use fee.

Difficulty: Easy – Family Friendly

Length: will depend on the group

Terrain & Elevation: mostly level, paved pathway

Vegetation & Exposure: mostly open, but some trees and bushes next to path
