Low Impact Hike at Conaway Ranch

This is an early morning walk to beat the heat, close to Woodland, and appropriate for people who find the typical Tuleyome hikes a bit too strenuous.  Seniors and families are welcome.  We will slow walk no more than 2 miles, out and back, along the Willow Slough area inside Conaway Ranch, private land East of Woodland.  The path is completely flat, but dirt and often uneven.   It borders blackbird nesting habitat, green rice fields, mature oak riparian woodland, and permanent water.  There is lots to see on this easy hike including abundant plants and birds.  You might be surprised to see that there is such a beautiful natural place so close!

Please bring completed waiver forms (see below), water, snacks, sunscreen/hat & bug repellent (just in case!).   There is no cost, but there will be a limit of 25 participants.  We will keep a waiting list in case of any cancellations.  Sign up soon!

Note: All participants agree to abide by the terms and conditions of Tuleyome’s waiver of liability which can be seen and downloaded HERE as well as the Conaway Ranch waiver HERE. All participants also understand that photographs will be taken at the event. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must tell the photographer and avoid the cameras’ line of sight.
