We will meet at the Smittle Creek Day Use Area parking lot, use Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District recent purchase via short walk along Berryessa Knoxville Road. The trail quickly climbs the hills surrounding Lake Berryessa, providing hikers with wonderful views of a full lake! Participants will hike about 2.75 to start of the final climb to the top of Iron Mountain where the trail has become overgrown, forcing hikers to push through and crawl under bushes to reach the top. Work will consist of trimming overhanging/encroaching branches to open the trail and allow hikers to pass.
