This moderately difficult to difficult hike starts as part of the Stebbins Cold Canyon loop. After reaching the top of the ridge, Annie’s Trail continues south to Tuleyome’s Cold Canyon Head Waters property.
The 7.5 mile hike begins by following the creek that shapes Cold Canyon, passes an old homestead, then climbs to the top of the ridge. The trail is steep in some sections but the view from Annie’s Rock is worth the effort. On clear days, Snow Mountain, 100 miles to the north, can be seen as well as the the Sierras to the east and possibly Mt. Lassen.
Please dress for the weather with sturdy hiking boots. Please bring snacks, lunch, and plenty of water.
More information about the trail can be found here.
Difficulty: Difficult
Length: 7.5 miles (round-trip)
